TripFix Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

Provider: Settled Technologies Inc. (“Settled”, “TripFix”, “we”, “us”, “our”)

User: The individual using the TripFix platform (“User”, “you”, “your”)

1. Nature of Services and Relationship

1.1 Technology Platform Only
Settled Technologies Inc., operating as TripFix, is a technology company that provides a platform designed to improve access to justice for flight disruption claims. TripFix provides automated workflows, document organization, and communication tools to assist Users and Licensed Legal Professionals in managing claims.

1.2 No Legal Services or Advice
TripFix is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or legal services. The use of our platform does not create a solicitor-client or paralegal-client relationship between you and TripFix.

1.3 Independent Legal Representation
By using this service, you acknowledge that any legal pursuit of Flight Compensation is conducted under a separate Contingency Fee Agreement between you and a Licensed Legal Professional. TripFix provides the infrastructure for these professionals to manage your claim, but TripFix itself is not a party to that representation agreement.

2. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Automation

2.1 Automated Processing
TripFix uses Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) and automated workflows to deliver and improve our services. This technology is used to:

  • Extract and organize information from travel documents, such as boarding passes and booking confirmations.
  • Assess claim eligibility and identify applicable regulations (e.g., APPR, EC 261/2004).
  • Generate drafts of communications and claim documentation.
  • Improve the accuracy and speed of the claim evaluation process.

2.2 Human Oversight
All AI-generated outputs that have a material impact on your claim are reviewed by human team members or your Licensed Legal Professional before being finalized or submitted to airlines.

3. Privacy Policy & Data Handling

3.1 Information Collection
We collect personal information you provide directly, including:

  • Identity & Contact: Name, email, phone number, and date of birth.
  • Travel Data: Flight details, booking references, and passenger information.
  • Documentation: Digital copies of boarding passes and identification.
  • Financial Info: Bank details required for the transfer of compensation.

3.2 Data Usage and AI Training

  • Internal Improvement: We may use anonymized or aggregated data to improve our internal AI models and systems.
  • Third-Party Protections: We do not allow your personal information to be used to train third-party AI models.
  • No Data Sales: We do not sell your personal data or documents to AI companies or other third parties.

3.3 Data Sharing
We share your information only with:

  • Licensed Legal Professionals: To enable them to represent you under your Contingency Fee Agreement.
  • Essential Partners: Such as airlines (for claim processing), payment processors, and secure cloud storage providers.

3.4 Data Security
We implement industry-standard security, including:

  • Encryption: Data is encrypted both in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.
  • Access Controls: Strict authentication protocols for all stored documents and signatures.

4. User Obligations

4.1 Accuracy of Information
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information and documentation.

4.2 Cooperation
You agree to cooperate with your Licensed Legal Professional and provide any additional signatures or documents required to move your claim forward.

5. General Provisions

5.1 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TripFix's liability is limited to the amount of the service fee associated with the specific claim in question. TripFix is not liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages.

5.2 Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

5.3 Amendments
TripFix may amend these terms. You will be notified of material changes via email or your account dashboard.
